This is a software package that can turn a group of overlapping pictures into a single panoramic photograph.
STOIK PanoramaMaker is automatic photo panorama software that turns any process a group of overlapping photographs and turns that into a panoramic image. Image processing algorithms are used to process the images and create the panoramic one; group of overlapping photos into high quality panoramic image. The interface is simple and tabbed. First tab is for adding images to the project. Once batch of images have been added you move over to the second tab that of stitching images. Photos to be used could have been used with different focal lengths. Cylindrical and spherical projects are used to correct geometric corrections of the photograph. The software can match the photos for stitching automatically or the user can intervene manually. You would be able to specify if the photos need to be scaled only, scaled and rotated or the software should be skewed too besides rotation and scaling. Image display area in the stitch tab lets you view the result before you save the final result. The third tab is about exporting the image.
Program can use one of two panorama stitching algorithms for creating Vertical/Horizontal or Tiled/Multifocus panoramas. It analyzes and arranges the photos in correct order and creates a low resolution panorama for preview. It will do manual or automatic cropping as required. The matching algorithm will automatically compensate the focal length (zoom level) and exposure difference between source photos. Most solutions fail to render the image properly when a moving object gets in the picture. These blurred or misshapen smudges can spoil the photos. The STOIK PanoramaMaker uses a special Object-Preserving Blending algorithm to make allowance for such blurs. It does its job very well.
